course outline

This 2-day course integrates lectures and clinical simulation practice to provide Dentists with complete endodontic and restorative workflows. Day One is convened by Dr Marcus Yan and covers aspects of endodontic diagnosis, non-surgical treatment protocols and complications for a broad range of clinical scenarios. Day Two is convened by Dr Ken Hooi and addresses restorative prognosis, restoration design, and definitive and interim treatment protocols for another broad range of clinical scenarios.

Learning Objectives for participating dentists

  • An improvement in their knowledge of clinical procedures, materials and techniques in endodontic diagnosis, non-surgical treatment and overall case management

  • An improvement in their clinical capabilities in assessing restorative prognosis, selecting appropriate restoration designs and interim and definitive restoration management.

  • An awareness of routine standards of care in specialist endodontic and prosthodontic practice

This course is suitable for dentists who are seeking

  • Revision of their knowledge base and practical skills in the treatment of endodontically affected teeth

  • Both lecture and practical based training in non-surgical endodontics and routine fixed prosthodontics of ETT.

  • Close interaction with experienced specialists

  • A concentrated schedule of fixed prosthodontic education prior to undertaking postgraduate coursework programs

  • ETT is not suitable for dentists seeking training in surgical endodontics and complex and full-mouth rehabilitation
